What house inspections can turn up...

Over my many years as a building inspector, I've seen some good examples of houses which have problems or potential problems waiting to happen.  Here's a few:

House Inspection - Embedded Starfish

Embedded Starfish:We found this starfish embedded in a rubber watertight roofing membrane! This could cause the roof to leak.

House Inspection - No Roof Insulation

No roof insulation: Roof insulation is very important so heat does not escape during winter.

House Inspection - No Underfloor Insulation

No underfloor insulation: Under floor insulation prevents cold air and damp rising.

Rusty roof: Rusting roof's leak!

House Inspection - Cracking Cladding

Cracking cladding:This can lead to a leaky building.

House Inspection - Unsealed Blockwork

Unsealed blockwork: Lack of sealing can lead to water seepage into your building.
